The United States Senate just voted 100 to 0 to NOT cut Medicare benefits. They then proceeded to vote 58 to 42 (two democrats voting with republicans) to allow cutting $500 billion from the Medicare trust funds. After the vote Senators Dodd and Baucus claimed the massive cut in Medicare Advantage was not a cut in Medicare, because it is a private plan. When confronted with page 50 of the Medicare handbook, which states Advantage is a Medicare option, they said it shouldn't be in the handbook.
These fools are running the country. They shouldn't even be allowed out in public without a keeper. I had to turn off C-Span before they drive me to their Looney bin.
Concurrently, President Obama held a jobs summit. The inspired purpose was to help create jobs. One thing however, was missing. The organizations that represent the business' that create the majority of jobs were not invited. He showed them what it means to disagree with him.
